The decision to have social media accounts for your treatment court should be carefully considered. Social media can be an efficient and effective way to tell the story of your treatment court's success, but it requires dedicated resources and is not without risk. In this session, we’ll provide an overview of the evolving landscape of social media, walk through confidentiality and ethical issues to consider when developing a social media strategy, share online tools and other resources you can use to assist in your content creation, and discuss how you can respond to issues that might arise as you increase your social media footprint. |
Objective 1: Learn the history of and identify tools for creating and managing social media. |
Objective 2: Develop a strategy for telling your court’s story. |
Objective 3: Explore areas of risk that social media might present to your court and how to manage that risk. |
